Today, we’re going to talk about a very important question you should be asking yourself every time you’re ready to make a deal on a house. In fact, it’s so important it could very well be the answer to why you’re not closing more deals with sellers you come across. So what is this magical question?
This. Ask yourself this question for each deal you are trying to close:
“Why should the seller sign the deal with you?”
I know you’re thinking that seems incredibly obvious. You’re right, it is an obvious question. However, if you’re giving the stereotypical obvious answers, you could be cutting yourself short. For example, would your answers include the following:
- We can buy it as is. The seller can leave the junk in the house!
- We can close fast!
- We won’t worry about commissions!
While those are all really great answers, they are the same answers all 15 of the other buyers interested in the house are going to give. They’re obvious answers, but not necessarily the best answers. Or, at least you should be expanding on them a little more and personalizing the situation to the individual.
